the Universal Declaration of Human Rights
In Paris on December 10, 1948, the United Nations General Assembly proclaimed the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, setting the standard for achievements for all humans, everywhere.
That the world requires such conventions to protect the human family is a sad reality. That there are foundations and organisations that work to support and uphold the values that make for a peaceful and just society is the relief.
Arcadian has chosen to support Bright Kids Charity because it upholds the values set out in the UN conventions on human and children’s rights by supporting children who are growing up in orphanages and those who are from underprivileged circumstances.
Devotion to Development
Bright Kids Charity is committed to providing high-quality education and financial aid for medical care to children who might otherwise not have access to such basic rights. The charity, which shows foresight and commitment to real-world issues, provides children with an education in computing and technology so that their future can be bright.
The charity also works to raise money for families who have medical needs that are both ongoing and emergency. Bright Kids has provided funds to families who are raising children born with cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophy, mental health issues and many other ongoing ailments that require consistent medial attention.
Arcadian has been a regular donor to the charity. The company’s founders understand that access to learning and development, and adequate medical care is the opportunity that every child needs to secure a future for themselves.
However, children growing up in difficult circumstances have additional needs that cannot be easily met. Without a secure family unit and adult guidance, children require more from their role models. For children to emulate the qualities that matter most in a harmonious and functional society they must be given access to the development of emotional intelligence.
These life lessons are taught through interactions with community leaders and skilled artisans who generously share their time and knowledge with the most vulnerable in our society. By providing opportunities for children to learn art, languages, sports, and other social activities, these children are accessing and developing the high-level skills needed to participate in society, secure a job in adulthood and end a cycle of poverty and deprivation.
While education is the cornerstone of a bright future, without the necessities of life it means little.
Bright Kids Charity works hard to provide clothing, healthcare, and necessities to the orphanages and underprivileged children it supports.
Arcadian is always striving to meet the needs of the charity to ensure that no child who is supported by the charity goes without.
Arcadian began its commitment to the charity as part of a desire to enter a philanthropic venture.
Setting an intention to assist for the public good has become a part of the fabric of the business.
Understanding that improving the quality of life for our human family today will affect how we interact tomorrow is a basic concept that appears to be eroding under the strain of government forces worldwide. By private businesses, corporations or individuals choosing to take action to support those who are identified as our most vulnerable human family members, we can make a difference.
